Terms of Service

By downloading or using the Happy Yogi app, these terms will automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the app. You may not copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You may not attempt to extract the source code, translate the app, or create derivative versions. The app and all related intellectual property rights remain the property of Rory Gilchrist Consulting.

Rory Gilchrist Consulting aims to keep the app as useful and efficient as possible. We reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for certain features at any time. If we introduce paid features, we will make it clear what you are paying for.

The Happy Yogi app may store and process personal data you provide to deliver the Service. You are responsible for keeping your device and access to the app secure. We strongly advise against jailbreaking or rooting your device, which may compromise security and affect the proper functioning of the app.

Third-Party Service Providers

To operate the Service, we work with trusted third-party providers who assist with areas such as:

• push notification delivery
• analytics and performance monitoring
• content hosting and video streaming
• location search and geocoding
• AI-assisted features

These providers may process limited information on our behalf, and only for the purpose of delivering specific parts of the Service. They are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for other purposes. Additional information about how we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Network Connectivity

Certain functions of the app require an active internet connection. This may be provided via Wi-Fi or your mobile data provider. Rory Gilchrist Consulting cannot take responsibility if the app does not work at full functionality due to a lack of connection or an exhausted data allowance.

If you use the app outside Wi-Fi, your mobile provider's terms still apply. You are responsible for any resulting charges, including roaming fees. If you are not the bill payer for the device, you confirm that you have permission from the bill payer to use the app.

Device Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring your device remains charged and operational. Rory Gilchrist Consulting cannot accept responsibility if your device is unavailable or unable to use the Service.

App Updates and Availability

We may update the app from time to time. The app is currently available on iOS and Android, and system requirements may change. You may be required to install updates to continue using the Service. We do not guarantee ongoing compatibility with older versions of device operating systems.

We may suspend or discontinue the app at any time without notice. Unless otherwise stated, upon termination:

• all rights and licenses granted to you will end;
• you must stop using the app and delete it from your device.

Teacher Content (Uploaded Content)

If you are a yoga teacher using the app, you may upload or submit content including videos, class listings, retreats, text posts, images, and other materials (“Teacher Content”). You confirm that you own the rights to the Teacher Content or have obtained all necessary permissions to upload it.

You retain full ownership of your Teacher Content.

By uploading Teacher Content, you grant Rory Gilchrist Consulting anon-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• store, host, and process the content;
• display and distribute it within the Happy Yogi app and website;
• stream or otherwise present it to users;
• use it to operate, promote, and improve the platform;
• create derivative displays such as thumbnails or previews.

This license exists solely to enable platform functionality. We do not sell Teacher Content or license it outside the Happy Yogi ecosystem without explicit permission.

The license ends when you delete your Teacher Content or close your account, except where the content has already been used in non-modifiable parts of the Service (e.g., backups stored temporarily).

Prohibited Content

You must not upload content that:

• infringes intellectual property rights;
• contains unauthorised music or media;
• violates privacy or publicity rights;
• contains harassment, hate speech, or threats;
• includes explicit sexual content or inappropriate nudity;
• promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activities;
• contains malware or harmful code;
• misrepresents your identity or impersonates others.

We may remove any content that violates these guidelines or poses a risk to users or the platform. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

Takedown Requests

If you believe content on Happy Yogi infringes your rights, you may contact us at [email protected] with:

• a description of the content in question;
• a link or screenshot of where it appears;
• proof of ownership or rights;
• your contact details;
• a statement confirming the accuracy of your claim.

We will review valid requests and may remove or restrict access to the content. Where appropriate, we may notify the uploader and offer an opportunity to respond.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. New versions will be posted on this page.
